The immediate tone of Nana Bangz latest release sits somewhere in the early days of Miami Vice for us, in a warmly lit backroom of a gentleman’s club with slow burning cigars and an air conditioner humming away slightly on the fritz. That mood, embraced and made possible by the tasteful inclusion and subtle manipulation of Seals & Croft’s 70’s hit “Summer Breeze” however, only remains with us long enough to set the scene that’s to be promptly interrupted by a drastic scene change and the introduction to our leading lady, Nana Bangz herself.
